Skyblock

Skyblock is a slower paced gamemode and the most competitive of all our realms. In this gamemode, your island is the center of your gameplay and your main focus should be on working through the various progression based systems in place with the objective of competing for a position on island top.

Skyblock is also unique in being the only realm to feature PvP content which can provide boosts towards your island's progression, as well as other desirable rewards.

How To Start

When you first spawn in, you’ll want to do /is create <name>. This is where you will build your farms, spawners, and player shops. You’ll have the choice between a Void Island and a Floating Island, which starts you with a basic wheat farm. After creating your island, the possibilities are limitless. You can build the greatest farms, and grinders as you unlock new mobs. Once you have ventured out from your island you will need to use the command  /is go to return!

Omni-tool

The Omni-tool is one of the tools you will upgrade the most. From a sword, to a pickaxe, to a hoe, it is used widely throughout Skyblock. In order to switch between tools you can shift right click to swiftly move between them or right click and at the top of the GUI you can change the tools. Enchants are purchasable by right clicking your tool, or by typing /enchant. You will need coins, obtainable by farming, and rubies, from killing mobs on your island with the use of spawners.

You can also buff your enchants with Crystals. To apply crystals, type /crystal and choose the crystal you want to add. Crystals you don’t want to keep can be put into /tinker for a chance to receive crystal dust. Drag and drop this dust onto a crystal to increase its success rate to apply. To obtain better dust, you can upgrade Enchanted Dust Luck. Do this by navigating to the /crystal menu and going to the bottom left corner. This will allow you to obtain enchanted dust from tinkering which when drag and dropped onto a crystal increases the multiplier further.

There are two ability skins for sword and hoe on the Omni-tool.

  • The Lucky Block Skin, when activated, grants you a chance to receive random rewards such as pet crates, crystal boxes, and more.
  • The Booster Skin, when activated, increases your current enabled /booster and grants a higher multiplier.

Note: There are no ability skins for the pickaxe.

Progression

Your island doesn’t have everything unlocked instantly. Instead, it requires /progression to be worked through. Work with your island and the whole server to unlock new crops and spawners to increase your money flow throughout the map.

The Crop Progression is server-wide, meaning the entire server has to work together to progress throughout the different crops. Farm with your Hoe Omni-tool to gain experience by farming crops.

The Spawner Progression is unlocked within the island, meaning only your island members can work together to achieve the last spawner. Start by grinding with your Sword Omni-tool to gain experience by killing the default mob of the progression, magma cubes.

Enchanted spawners

Enchanted spawners are only able to be created for the spawners found in the /progression menu (magma, strider, etc). Once a progression milestone is reached you will have the ability to upgrade the spawners into enchanted spawners by right clicking on the spawner stack and interacting with the sign at the top of the menu.

Island core

Island core is a command you can use to see your island level (previously called island core). In this menu you will see all the boosts you get towards your island from your island leveling up.

Armor sets

Unlike other realms, skyblock has three different types of armor sets available to all players which can be accessed though /sets. These sets consist of booster sets, dungeon sets, and pvp sets. Most of these sets are able to be unlocked with shards, however, some of the booster sets only come as a reward from loot boxes (don’t worry, you can still get these free to play)

You can upgrade these sets by purchasing enchants for them, which will provide additional benefits and enhance the sets' performance. To see what each enchant does and to upgrade them, simply click within the /sets GUI on the piece of armor you would like to enchant, you can hover over the books to see what they do and click on them to purchase the enchant.

Booster sets

The three booster sets which can be unlocked with shards are money, coin, and ruby. These sets can be unlocked for 5000 shards each and will give you a boost towards their booster multi found in /boosters.

Dungeons sets

Dungeon sets are very different to booster sets as they are completely free. To unlock the higher-tier sets, you must meet both the minimum level requirement and have maxed all the enchants for the previous set. Each dungeon set is enchanted separately, which means your enchants won't carry over to the next set. When you level up to each new dungeon and new dungeon set, you may find it hard at first to defeat the NPCs, as the set will be unenchanted.

PvP sets

PvP sets are different to both booster, and dungeon sets. There are 5 pvp sets available with various prices and you might think that the more expensive sets are better than the cheaper sets, however, this is not the case. Each set in the pvp sets is exactly the same and the extra ones are simply to make it so you can have multiple sets ready for PvP as if you die in pvp, your set becomes unenchanted and you lose all the shards to enchant it to the player who defeated you.

Dungeons

Skyblock dungeons are an essential feature and a core part of this realm. This is the only place you’re able to obtain Shards which are one of the most precious and desired currencies. When typing /dungeons, you will be greeted by a menu displaying various different tiers of dungeons which become accessible to you as your personal player level progresses.

Dungeon NPCs and Crafting

Inside dungeons you will be faced with a very large number of highly aggressive NPCs with varying levels of health and damage depending on their tier of dungeon you are in. These dungeon NPCs are only able to be defeated using one of the armor sets which you can access at no cost through /sets. If you are unsure of how these sets work, we suggest reading the Sets section above.

Defeating NPCs inside the dungeon will give you a chance to receive two types of rewards.

Dungeons drops

Each NPC you defeat will give you a chance to receive a dungeon drop that can be used to craft highly desired items such as totem boxes, monthly crates, pet traits and stats, totem slots, cosmetics, credits, and much much more.

To see what is required to craft these items, and to see how many dungeon drops you have, you can access your dungeon backpack by right clicking the chest in your hotbar next to your omni-tool or through the /backpack command.

Other rewards

In addition to the dungeon drops that you can receive as rewards, you’re also able to obtain various other rewards from defeating these NPCs such as keys (higher tier keys for higher tier dungeons), Golden apples, Pet boxes, Crystal boxes. shards and more.

Mining

In each of the dungeons, you will find caves containing large deposits of ore which you can mine with your Omni-tool granting you experience towards your island and personal level, as well as a chance to receive shards.

Note: While inside of these caves, there is a high chance you will be attacked by the many NPCs roaming the dungeons and these are only able to be defeated when using the dungeons set weapon, so until you’re comfortable inside of the dungeons, it’s recommended to keep the dungeons set equipped over one of the many booster armor sets.

Island Top

Like our other gamemodes, Skyblock too has its own weekly competition and payouts. Skyblock utilises the trophy system categorised by Coins, Rubies, and Spawners. Getting 1st place in these categories will grant your island 100 trophies for that section. One trophy will be deducted for each place below first, with second place receiving 99 trophies.

All payout rewards are viewable in the #information channel in the EMC Discord (discord.gg/enchantedmc)

Player vs Player (KOTH / Outposts)

Outposts

The skyblock features some elements of PVP. There are 4 outposts located at /warp pvp. The 4 outposts must be capped by players from a team and they can be contested at any time by another island. Each outpost has its own boost; the captive island will receive a 2.5x boost in the currency of the outpost they have captured (Coins, Money, Rubies) or a 0.5x boost for their enchants.

PvP is not full loot death, however, if you die inside of this pvp area your pvp set will be disenchanted with all of the shards going towards the winner of the fight. Dying in warp pvp will also lock you out from returning to warp pvp for 15 minutes.

Note: you will not lose any pets, boosters, omni-tools or anything of that nature, the only thing you lose on death is the enchants on your set

KOTH

Inside warp pvp, there is also a KOTH event that sometimes spawns. KOTH takes 5 minutes to capture and if you’re knocked off the capture area the time resets. When you capture a koth you’ll get some credits, a loot box as well as a booster cookie box which can give you a variety of rewards.

Note: These rewards could be changed and at some point this information would be inaccurate.
